The short version
When you click a “View on Amazon” or “Check price” button on this site and buy something, we may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you. That commission is how the site stays free to read. It does not change which products we recommend or how we rank them.

Grate & Grill is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Our Amazon links carry our associate tag (t5bbq-20) so Amazon can attribute a sale to us.
Product images and prices come from Amazon’s own data through its official API. Prices are fetched live and change constantly— the number in a buy button is stamped with the date we last verified it, and if we can’t confirm a current price the button reads “Check price” instead of showing an old one. Always confirm the price on the retailer’s page before you buy.
Other retailers and programs
A few products we cover — some premium smokers and ceramic kamados like the Big Green Egg — aren’t sold on Amazon and are bought through the brand or a local dealer. When we link one of those, it goes to the manufacturer, and in most cases we earn nothing on it; we include it because the category can’t be compared honestly without it. If we ever add a retailer program that does pay a commission, this page is updated and those links are disclosed the same way.
How to spot an affiliate link
Every buy button carries a small #ad label and a link back to this page. Outbound commercial links use a /go redirect and are tagged rel="sponsored nofollow", the standard, search-engine-honest way to mark a paid link. If a link can earn us money, we treat it as an ad.
Why this doesn’t bend our picks
The commission is the same small percentage across most of what we link, so there is no incentive to push a pricier product — and when a cheaper option is the better buy, we say so and link it. We accept no payment for placement, no free units, and no manufacturer edits to our rankings.
