This section is where the deals go. Right now it is empty on purpose. We don’t pre-write “expected” deals, we don’t reprint a retailer’s press release as if it were a price, and we don’t show a number our system didn’t fetch. Once the November sales start — early Amazon markdowns have historically begun in the week or two before Black Friday — this page will be updated in place with the deals we can verify against our live price layer, and the “last updated” date under the headline will move. Bookmark it, or check the gift guides in the meantime; every pick there carries the same live price and will reflect a sale the day it happens.

What historically discounts, and what rarely does

Two rules before the table. First, everything below is a record, not a forecast — a specific product, at a specific retailer, on a date a third party published. A brand that discounted a model in 2025 has made no promise about 2026, and we won’t make one on its behalf. Second, we only list what we could source. Where our sources have no dated record for a class — offset smokers are the obvious gap — the table says so instead of guessing.

The pattern across those records is consistent enough to be useful: the deepest dollar drops land on pellet grills and mid-to-premium gas grills, the deepest percentage drops land on thermometers, and the class that stays put is dealer-only premium ceramic. Two seasonal-timing sources add context: Consumer Reports describes Labor Day as the last major chance of the year to find grills on sale, because retailers are clearing warehouse space as the season ends, and Tasting Table’s timing guide puts the steepest grill markdowns in mid-summer and July 4th clearance, with Black Friday and pre-Christmas discounts real but typically less steep. In other words: November is a genuine window for new-season inventory at a discount, not the year’s deepest clearance.

Buy now or wait for November, by product class

The question behind every deals page is really “should I wait?”, and the honest answer depends on what you’re buying and when you need it. Our reading of the records above, class by class — with the standing caveat that a past record is not a promise:

• Pellet grill — wait, if you can.This is the class with the most consistent November record, and the dollar drops on mainstream models have been large. If you need it for Thanksgiving, buy it; Amazon’s early markdowns in 2025 were published a week before Black Friday, and a grill that arrives Friday doesn’t cook Thursday. Otherwise, hold. • Gas grill — wait for the mainstream Webers; buy budget models when you need them. The record shows Genesis-class discounts in the hundreds of dollars; a budget four-burner has less room to move, so a sale on one is a smaller number and a smaller reason to wait. See the gas grill roundup.
• Charcoal kettle — buy when you need it. Weber kettle discounts in the record are real but modest. A kettle bought in September and used eight weekends is worth more than the difference. The charcoal roundup has the field.

• Thermometer — wait, especially for a gift. The deepest percentage drops in our sources are on connected thermometers, and a thermometer bought in late November still arrives for the holidays. The thermometer roundup has the picks.
• Offset smoker — buy when you need it.We have no dated November record for the class, and an offset needs seasoning and a couple of practice cooks before it’s trusted with a holiday brisket. • Griddle — watch the button. No dated Black Friday record in our sources, but griddle prices move through the season. The live price in the griddle roundup is the number that counts.

How to tell a real deal from a fake one

November is when “was” prices get creative. Three checks that take thirty seconds:

1. Compare against a price you saw before the sale.The buttons above show today’s fetched price and its date. Note it now; a Black Friday price that isn’t lower than a September price isn’t a deal.
2. Read the struck-through number as Amazon’s claim, not ours. When a button shows a list price and a percent off, that is what the retailer reported to us at fetch time. We pass it through unchanged and we don’t editorialize it.
3. Check the model, not the brand.The 2025 records show discounts on specific models — a Pro 22, a Genesis S-315 — not on “Traeger” or “Weber”. A headline about a brand tells you nothing about the model you want.

How this page will be run in November

Same rules as the rest of the site. A deal appears here only when our price layer has fetched it; the button shows the price and the date. We don’t publish coupon codes we haven’t verified, we don’t reprint a retailer’s pre-announced “up to X% off” as if it were a price on a product we cover, and we don’t keep a deal on the page after the price has moved back up — the live layer makes that automatic, because a number that can’t be re-verified within 48 hours disappears on its own.
